Subdomains, WordPress.com, permissions
-
Hi,
I’ve been asked to help with the above website. In particular, we would like to add a subdomain and point it to an outside instance (not wordpress).
I don’t seem to be able to do it. Is there a special permission set that is required? I have no domains listed under “My Domains” – the site was bought and set up by a non technical administrator.
How can I add a subdomain? Will they need to give me a certain level of privilege within the site, or do I need to sit with the administrator and do it through their account?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
To set up a subdomain on pearg.com you’ll need use the administrator’s account.I found this support page that details the setup process: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/#pointing-a-subdomain-of-a-domain-registered-with-wordpress-com-to-an-outside-website

Yeah, I found that page already – it just doesn’t mention the permission level required.
Cheers
