subject: adding a domain via Paypal:
Dear Wrodpress-stuff,
could you send me a direct payment request so that I can pay my upgrade for my own domain (domain+mapping for 18€). Unfortunately it never works otherwise with Paypal because payla always asks me for a credit card (which I dont own) for back-up, though I have enough money on the account currently. Also, it seems there is no chance for me to unable auto-renew before I upgrade cause as far as I found in the forums, to enable/disable autorenew I need to go to “My upgrades” but so far I dont have any yet.

WordPress.com does not bill by invoice or purchase order. You must pay for the upgrade at the time of purchase.
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog who is Admin of the blog to purchase upgrades for the blog. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
Below are the only accepted means of payment.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/
If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.
In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.
The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

it is really strange that it seems that I am the only one having this problem with paypal and wordpress. first of all, the country I want to order the upgrade from is austria, which is supported by paypal. second, I had the same problem with my other wordpress account, and after 3 emails to wordpress and 2 emails to the paypal-stuff, we found just this one solution of sending a direct payment request (which somebody from your wordpress-stuff did the last 2 times I had the problem).
did something change in the wordpress policy or would this be still possible? otherwise it seems I am not able to by any upgrade :(
