Submenu appears far from containing link

  • Unknown's avatar

This menu is the top navigation on https://neighborsindeedinc.org wihich uses the Astra Theme (I’m using a child theme). WHen clicking on the menu in desktop the submenu drops below the ast-container div instead of staying up snug to the main-navigation ast-inline-flex div. I’m hoping someone can help provide a solution to this issue

The Top Level Menu Item is:
    menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page current-menu-item page_item page-item-36 current_page_item menu-item-has-children menu-item-48

The sub menu UL class is: sub-menu

The sub-menu should stay close to the Top Level menu item.

    Ideas?

  • Hi there,

We can’t help directly because we don’t host neighborsindeedinc.org on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.

Instead your host (Bluehost) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks in the open-source forums are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help. Also since you mentioned the Astra theme (which we do not offer on WordPress.com) you may also want to reach out to their support team here in case they are able to assist you: https://wpastra.com/support/

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
