‘submit comments’ button

Hi,
Just one plain question, at numerous wordpress sites, I could log in, write my comments, but when it come to pressing the ‘submit comment’ button, the comments don’t appear. Puzzled.

Your comments could be going to the spam queue. Or they could be moderated, although most blogs at WP.com will tell you if the comment has been saved for moderation. If you can comment on your own blog and the comment appears immediately, you’re probably not in the spam file and are likely just waiting for the blog admin to approve your comment. Some hold comments for all first-time commenters, etc.

Have been posting for ages on these particular sites (and very recently too) and really curious as I would expect a comment that posts have been saved for moderation but there is none. A check with the site owner is I am certainly not barred/ban. Thanks for the info anyway

Try commenting (while logged out of wordpress) on my test blog and I’ll see if you are being mistakenly caught by Akismet. I have moderation on, so it might be a bit before I post back here.
