Submitting My blog Content to Google Search Engines Officially
-
Hi. I want to enable Google to find my WordPress blog, so I am attempting to implant a HTML code into the blog so they can track it and report to me. I do not see anything in the editing bar so I can do it. How do I add the HTML one line code? Thank you.

If you have a code already this is where you should paste it:
1. On your dashboard, scroll down until you reach “Tools”
2. Once you click “Tools”, the page will open and you can scroll through the page and look for “Website Verification Services”Now on that section, there will be various areas where you have blank fields. For Google, you need “Google Webmaster Tools” and paste your code on the field next to it. You have other options below it too for Bing, Pinterest, Twitter and Yandex (don’t ask me what that is. :)).
I hope this helps!

To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com hosted blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
It can take weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/
