Submitting Ticket to Support?
-
Is there a way to submit a real support ticket to a formal support group at WordPress.com? Does that require you pay money?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Bottom line, email support or support by chat requires a paid upgrade.
Here is how support works at WordPress.com:

Bottom line, if you do not have any paid upgrade, support is given by experienced forum volunteers, other community members and Staff in the Community Forums.
-
Jennifer, can I buy any paid upgrade, such as the “No Ads” upgrade for $30, in order to qualify for tech support?
-
Since I don’t have any paid upgrades, I’m not sure if you need to have at least the Premium Bundle upgrade for email support (chat support comes only with the Business bundle and up).
If you were planning on buying the “No Ads” upgrade anyway, you can always do so and try.

I have no ads and I am not aware of any fancy support with it – there is the Staff section but I can’t remember how to post there – when I have a question I just post it in the general forum and let folks take a shot at it – if the regular folks can’t help then the question gets referred to the staff – the staff also cruise the help forum on a regular basis to check for problems

The minimum to get paid support here is the $299 a year bundle, and it is only operative during business hours in North America, M-F, which this isn’t.
If you like, you can contract for support with an independent WordPress consultant. Expect to pay $65 an hour and up for competent support.
-
Oh, and a lot of them simply post their questions here in the forum and charge the client $65 an hour for the answer.
-
rain, direct email support is available for those with the Premium bundle. See here: http://store.wordpress.com/bundles/
My only question is what about those who do have an upgrade, just not the Premium bundle.
So hopefully Staff can step in and answer that.
-
True but last I heard the wait time on email support was five weeks.
I’ve got tons of upgrades, but I get faster answers here, except that one time Matt emailed me about my CSS images.
-
@poetrydude66 I’ve just contacted you by e-mail :)
@justjennifer Those with an upgrade have the ability to send us a private support request through our contact form.
