subpage
-
Hi,
I have been searching to make a submenu, but did not found the way.I added a new page, went to page attributes and clicked on the Page in the head menu under which I want to put this subpage. I clicked default order and level 0.
However, after doing this, I cannot find this page back when I visit my page? There is also no mention of it when I go with my mouse over the name of the head page…
Any tips on how to make a subpage?
Thanks!!!
Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,
Have you tried adding the page in Appearance > Menu?
In the box on the left side, you’ll see a heading that says “Pages.” Under that you should find your page.
Check the box there to add the page to your menu. Move it just under the your top-level page. Then just drag it slightly to the right to make it a sub-page of that top-level page.
Be sure to save the changes.
I hope this helps!

It sounds like you created a sub-page, but you haven’t yet added it to the menu.
Did bethgsanders’s guidance help at all? Just to clarify, the menu setup can be found in Customizer > Menus. (bethgsanders – just noting that the Appearance path involves going to the old, legacy, WP Admin dashboard, which is hard to find for most WordPress.com users.)
To make a sub-menu item, click the arrow to move the item to the right after you’ve added it. Watch the animation here:
Just let us know if you’re stuck at any step.
