Subpages and Index Pages

    Hey Everyone,

    I am recently getting more into wordpress but had some questions in regards to the template’s system. I am planning to use wordpress for my business but I have a few concerns/questions.

    1. I want to make the index page without a sidebar. How can I accomplish it so that the index page will not show a sidebar.

    2. Is their a way to select what links are displayed on particular pages?

    3. Do you have any good recommendations on addons I should add? I am wondering what is a good forum software that can be implemented, calenders, picture albums, and etc.
