Subpages do not show
-
Hey everyone,
I just set up my first blog which is part of a Business Applications college project.
I am really new to all of this, and I seem to have a problem that I cannot fix.
My idea was to choose a design that does not have the pages in a sidebar, but below the header. I chose this design http://cleanenergies.wordpress.com
However, I have subpages, that are not shown, for example in the “About” section and also in the “Clean Energies” section. I have seen on some blogs, that you can see the subpages if you roll over the parent page title, but in my blog, this does not work. I cannot see the subpages at all, not even if I click on the parent page.
How can I put a dropdown menu into my blog, so that the subpages become visible?Any help is greatly appreciated,
thank you in advance,
JenniferThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, and welcome. You won’t see those rollover dropdown menus on WordPress.COM because they use Javascript, which is disabled here for security reasons.
What you can do is add the “Pages” widget to your blog sidebar. The Child Pages should show up there. You can also make links to them inside the Parent Page itself.
Hope that helps. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can also find a lot of good info in the Support documentation http://support.wordpress.com/

Hi,
thanks a lot for your fast answer!
The pages widget is a good idea, is there an option to set it in a way that it only shows the subpages of the category I am currently looking at? Like if someone clicks on “About”, that the widget shows only the subpages of the About section? If not, I will probably take your second advice and just link to the subs, thanks a lot for the helpful input :)
