Subscribe Block Not Always Working

  I’ve had friends who try to subscribe and enter their email, but I don’t get an email notification that they’ve been added as an email subscriber, and on my dashboard I don’t see them as an email subscriber. It has worked with a few people but also not worked with others. I’m not sure what to do.

  I have manually subscribed some of the people this happened to. But 2 emails I have not yet manually subscribed are: (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  The ones that I manually subscribed after they told me they subscribed, but I did not receive an email about or find them in my list of users: (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff), and (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  I think there also may be a few more people who tried to subscribe that I don’t know about.

  Hi there,

  I have manually subscribed some of the people this happened to.

  Can you clarify what you mean by this? How are you manually subscribing folks to your site? By adding their email to the form on your homepage? One thing to be aware of is that folks are not automatically subscribed to your site in this way.

  Instead, when an address is entered in that way, it sends a confirmation email to the associated inbox. The recipient needs to open that email and then confirm that they want updates from alexaszimblogwe.wordpress.com in their inbox.

  Please ask these folks to open their email program and check their inbox for this email: Confirm your subscription for Alexa’s Zim-blog-we

  Once they click the link to confirm you should see them listed as followers to your site.
