"Subscribe by email" widget no longer visible

  http://pigletinportugal.wordpress.com/I looked at my blog yesterday and noticed my “subscribe by email” widget in my sidebar is no longer visible. (I have not made any alterations to the widget itself to effect this change). There is now only a tiny blue circle with a white cross and the word “follow”
  How can I rectify this?

  if i may break in, the button has changed again its a little better.

  but the problem is that when you visit a blog you don’t know if you are already subscribed, it doe’s not say.

  plus someone subscribed to my blog but the button did not work and she doe’s not show up in subscribers list, there is still a problem.
