Subscribe to a Post & Receive Email when Post Content Changes

    Hi,

    I was looking to know is there a plugin out there which allows a user to subscribe to a post and if that post changes, they receive an email?

    I looked into “AlertMe” – https://wordpress.org/plugins/alertme/ but it’s looking like it’s out of support. I can get this working to the point I receive an email to say I’ve subscribed to a post but I don’t get any email when the post content changes.

    Is there an alternative out there or a way to achieve this workflow within WordPress itself?

    This is a better question for the WordPress.org community who makes most of the plugins available for WordPress.

    The forum you’re using now is for owners of free sites hosted on WordPress.com. Free WordPress.com sites can’t use any plugins, so the users, volunteers and staff in this forum don’t have the expertise to help you with a question like this :)

    I can tell you you’ll definitely need a plugin for this, as there’s no built-in setting in the WordPress software to have subscribers receive email notifications of changes to posts.
