Subscribe to RSS Failure

  • Unknown's avatar

Clicking on my “Subscribe to RSS” link with FireFox works fine. However, not with IE-9 or Chrome. They give me:

This page contains the following errors:

error on line 35 at column 17: Namespace prefix georss on point is not defined
error on line 36 at column 11: Namespace prefix geo on lat is not defined
error on line 37 at column 12: Namespace prefix geo on long is not defined
error on line 52 at column 17: Namespace prefix georss on point is not defined
error on line 53 at column 11: Namespace prefix geo on lat is not defined
error on line 54 at column 12: Namespace prefix geo on long is not defined

Can someone explain this for me?

    Thanks,
    Keith

Chrome by default does not have a native RSS subscription plugin like Firefox does. In order to subscribe via RSS, Chrome users have to install the RSS Subscription Extension to their browser.

As far as IE9, sorry I can’t help you there as I do not have it installed on my XP machine.

I just looked at your feed because I have IE9 and mine works. It went to a page that had rss at the end (http://lodi360.com/feed/rss/) but you need to take that rss off for it to work.

On that theme, ( http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/themorningafter/ ) it’s hard coded into the theme. You can either choose to display it or not, but you can’t change the feed address.
