  how do i add first name to the subscriber block?

  Hi there,

  The subscribe block is intended to work with the WordPress.com subscription engine, and for that to work we do not require a first name: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/subscribe-block/

  If you are trying to collect more subscriber info you may wish to use an outside service like Mailchimp instead: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/mailchimp-block/
