How do you make it so that when you are editing a number of posts, that all your followers don’t receive and email?

Hi there, could you clarify a bit more what you’re referring to so I can investigate further?
Do you mean that when you go back to a previously published post and make a text edit, your followers receive a notification, as if it were a brand-new post? Thanks!

I’d like to ask you some follow-up questions so we can troubleshoot:
Were your posts originally imported from another site or were they all created first in your WordPress.com site?
Does every subscriber receive a message when you make an edit, or only some?
Does this happen with every post or only some? If it’s only some, can you think of anything the affected posts may have in common?
Could you post a link to one of the posts where folks received a notification when the post was edited?
Would you be able to paste an example here of one of the notifications someone received when a post was edited, or take screenshot and add it in your Media Library and post a link here?
I’ve also signed up to follow your blog, so if you’d like to go ahead and edit a previously published post, I’ll look out for an email at my end.

Thanks for following me and helping me figure this out.
1) They were all created in WordPress.com
2) Every subscriber receives a message when I make any change. ie: a spelling error, etc
3) It happened with every post
4) I’m not sure which post in particular, I just remember some of my readers telling me every time I change something, they get an email.
5) I don’t have an example

Hi there – I received a post by email last night – but it was one dated August 2, with the subject line [New post] Southwest Po’ Boy.
Did you get any reports of someone receiving the edited Jim N’ Nicks post?

Hmph! Interesting. No nobody else did. You would have received the Southwest Po’ Boy one as that was a new post.
It must not be doing it anymore!
