Subscriber having difficulty leaving comments

    Some of my subscribers are having a hard time leaving comments. One just e-mailed me to say that the blog no longer recognizes her e-mail address. How do we fix this?

    We ie. you and I cannot fix this. What is the email address of this subscriber please? Post it here and the software will redact ie. HIDE it from your view and mine but Staff will be able to see it. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance.     Hello there,

    If possible can you provide more information about that error this user is having? Is she seeing an error when she tries to use her email? The more information you provide the easier it’ll be to get this resolved. Thanks.

    This is what the Subscriber e-mailed me:
    At the end of the post, there is no “leave a comments” section. This is new; I have left comments before.
    When I select “Like”, it requests my username and password
    When I enter my username, it says my password is incorrect. I have tried every password I use.
    When I select “lost password”, it asks for my username or e-mail
    If I input my user name, it tells me to check my e-mail for a link. I have not received a message with a link in any mailbox I own.
    If I input any of my e-mail addresses instead of my user name, it says it can’t find me.

    It used to work, now it doesn’t.

    Hello there,

    Thanks for the details. It sounds like this user may be having trouble with their WordPress.com account. We require a user to log in with their WordPress.com account before they can like or comment on a post.

    If this user is still having trouble I’d suggest that they double check the email address they enter is the one on their account.

    Thanks for trying to help – here is what my subscriber said:

    I did. I tried to reregister, but it says that my name is already registered. Don’t want to set up a new account with a different name because I’ll never remember it.

    Hi there,

    If the username is already registered and the user believes it belongs to them I suggest they follow the steps in this guide to reset their password: http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-password

    The user can enter there username into the reset password box to have a password reset link be sent to the email on their account.
