Subscriber not appearing?

  I appear to have a phantom subscriber.

  When checking my recent notifications, I found the message “so-and-so, and so-and-so, and 3 other people are following your blog.” Clicking on this showed only the WordPress followers. Checking my Followers list, showed 4 WordPress followers and 0 email subscribers. Either I’m counting wrong, or someone’s viewing my blog elsewhere. I’m not looking for their email address, and not particularly bothered about it, except for curiousity as to how they might be achieving this?
