Subscriber Pop-up window and Automatic Mail Option

  I would like to add an automatic pop-up window to ask the viewer to subscribe to the blog. I would like an automatic email to be sent to the subscriber with a free e-book. Can my site do this? If yes, can you please tell me how ?

  Hi there. There’s no way to do either of these things with WordPress.com. Anyway, while people can follow you via their email addresses, they can also follow you via the admin bar or Reader, in which case you’ll be notified of a new follower but you won’t receive their email addresses, or they can follow you via your RSS feed in any feed reader of their choice, in which case you won’t even be notified that someone is following you, so the plan to reward follows with a free ebook won’t work in any case.

  To do what you want to do you’ll need to set up a self-hosted WordPress.ORG website where you can control the ways people can follow your blog and where you can install the plugins needed for pop-ups and automatic emails.
