Hello! I recently moved my website from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and I was wondering if there was a way to transfer my previous subscribers to my new site! the new site is benfinan.com and I have the wordpress jetpack plugin installed already. I’d really appreciate the help!

    Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OH! I almost forgot, it would be wonderful if I could also have my previous stats from my wordpress.com blog to my new self hosted site. I’ve found on another forum to contact a staff member for this. Thanks again!

    Hello there!

I can certainly migrate your followers and stats. First, I need you to download and activate Jetpack for your self-hosted WordPress.org site:

    http://jetpack.me

Once your site is connected to your WordPress.com account, I can make the transfer for you. Just let me know!

Also, I see that you have a couple WordPress.com sites, so make sure to let me know which WordPress.com followers/stats should be moved to which WordPress.org domain name.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Thanks so much for the prompt response thatrobyn! I have jetpack installed and activated, showing the “You are successfully connected to Jetpack!” message. The stats to transfer are just those from the benfinan.com site to the new self hosted one. I believe its benfinan.wordpress.com now.

    Thanks so much!!

    Hey there!

The Jetpack site I see connect is this one: 50.87.248.110/~benfinan.

Could you disconnect it, and reconnect with the actual domain for your site: benfinan.com?

We prefer you’re connected with Jetpack via the domain name, rather than an IP address, as IP addresses change, and we don’t want this connection disabled!

Thanks a ton! Let me know when you’re all done.

    Alrighty just disconnected and reconnected!

Oh gosh, but I think that just removed my stats since January. Goodness >< lol. Do you think those will migrate also? No biggie if not.

    Hi there!

I know you’ve now disconnected/reconnected countless times :) but I need you to do that once more! I’ve fixed the discrepancy in your January stats. They should reappear after the dis/re-connection.

After that, I’ll transfer those stats and followers! Many thanks!

    thatrobyn,

Got it! Thanks so much!! I just dis/re-connected and saw the January stats. I appreciate all your help!

    Hey there!

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know…and for the copious amounts of disconnecting and reconnecting :)

I have moved over all your WordPress.com subscribers as requested. Please keep in mind that while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site.

There were a total of 26 subscribers (22 WordPress.com followers, and 4 email subscribers). It could take a few hours for these followers to appear in your site stats.

    I’ve also migrated your stats!

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
