Why aren't my subscribers receiving email notifications of new posts?

  My subscribers aren’t getting notifications when I have a new posting. I tested it out with another email account of mine and I did not receive any notification letting me know there was a new blog post.

  I tried to figure it out but I’m completely lost…help please!

  It looks like the last post you published at http://roacilynn.wordpress.com/ was on August 24, 2011.

  Is the issue with a different site? When did the issue start?

  I actually publish something today. It’s under the self development tab. I actually had this problem with my last post in August. No one, including myself received notification.

  It sounds like you’re referring to “The Wining Mentality,” is that correct?

  If so, that item is published as a page, instead of a post. Subscription emails only go out when a new post is published, since pages typically provide more static and unchanging content.

  You can test out your subscription notifications by going to your Dashboard -> Posts and publishing a new blog post.
