  I have been getting notices that a new subscriber has been added to my blog, I check and find that they have used bogus names and email addresses. What is this all about? thanks jim

  When asking questions in the forums, please provide a link to your wordpress.COM blog and consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

  Since your blog is self-hosted you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ since that is where the self-hosted wordpress blogs are supported. This forum is for those hosted at the wordpress.COM free hosting service and stuff here works differently.

  Okay, I am totally clueless on this subscriber thing. I’ve read all the posts from the last two years and still can’t find exactly what I’m looking for here, so I’m going to ask that you treat me like a first grader and assist me in figuring this out. LOL I want both RSS feed and email subscribers. How do I put in a box that says “add email here to subscribe”? I did set up the “meta” section but I really don’t know what that’s supposed to do. And finally, how can I track subscribers? (sigh!)
