Subscribers not getting notifications of new posts
-
This is my first blog and have come across an unexpected problem. My site is live but I wanted to test some posts with a couple of people before adding proper content. I got them to subscribe, created some draft dummy posts, and scheduled them to go live at a particular point. Which they did – that all worked well. But none of the subscribers got a notification of any of the posts… I also signed up myself with a different email address, and didn’t get a notification either.
I googled the issue and haven’t found an answer that has worked. I have checked spam folders etc. I thought the notifications would happen automatically, but do you need to pay to add email to your domain for this to happen?
I’m sure there’s a simple answer, but would be very grateful for help as it’s now driving me mad!

Hi there!
I checked the email delivery records for all three subscribers on your site, and I found that the post emails were delivered to them.
The email logs show that the email for all for test posts was delivered to your email.
One of the other subscribers only received the emails for 1994 b, c, and d, but not a.
The last one received emails for 1994 b and d, since they only subscribed 2 hours ago, while the posts 1994 c and a were published prior to their subscription.
I also see that your site as Private up until 2 hours ago, and it was only recently made Public, so any posts that you publish when the site is private, will not be notified to the subscribers.Since I can see the email delivery logs, I would suggest you check your spam folders, as well as other inbox folders again and let us know how it goes.
