subscribers not receiving new posts
-
Hello,
Despite being subscribed to our website, https://eatyourveggies853760593.wordpress.com/, our subscribers are not receiving new article posts. When they try to subscribe again, it says they are already subscribed. I’ve checked spam and junk folders, and had others do the same, but the new articles are not in there. Can you please help?
Two examples can be found with these “subscribed” email addresses:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)They subscribed through the button at the page footer, as any Internet reader can do.
Thank you!

Hi there:
I’m showing that the
Dmp5email is subscribed already and they received a new post notification for the post titledLet’s Talk Toppingsthe day it was published. The
Michelleemail is not currently subscribed to your site. Note that we don’t keep logs for subscription behavior – we just have the current status of the subscription. From my investigation, we are sending out the emails to current subscribers. If they sign up after your latest post was published, we don’t send a post notification email at that time. Only when a new post is published will new subscribers get that email.
If you’re seeing the
Michelleemail in your subscribers list, can you give us the URL where you’re seeing that so we can take a closer look? Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.
The Michelle email does not show up in the subscriber list, even though she subscribed. When she tries to subscribe again via the button on the website, it auto replies to say that address is already subscribed. How can we fix this?
The Dmp5 address did, indeed, receive the article the day it was posted. She did not recognize it because it came from WordPress. So, thanks for confirming. That brings me to a new question: Can we customize the “From” name in the outgoing emails to subscribers to be the name of the website (EatYourVeggies853760593.wordpress.com)? If so, how do we do this, please?
Thanks again!

I’m showing the only email that we sent to the
Michelleemail was one a day ago titled[your name] invited you to administer Eat Your Veggies! However, this was sent from theeatyourveggies977710054.wordpress.comwebsite, noteatyourveggies853760593.wordpress.com.I’m also showing they’re not in a pending subscription state – “pending” means we sent the confirmation email to them but the confirm subscription link wasn’t clicked – so that’s not it.
If not, can you confirm that their email address is correct? If they attempted to subscribe, we should have a pending subscription record on our end and we don’t at this time.
That brings me to a new question: Can we customize the “From” name in the outgoing emails to subscribers to be the name of the website (EatYourVeggies853760593.wordpress.com)?
That will automatically use your site’s Site Title as the “From” name in subscription emails. Looking at your site it looks like you don’t have one set, so to have that reflected in your new post emails, you need to add a Site Title to your site here:
https://wordpress.com/settings/general/eatyourveggies853760593.wordpress.com
Note that this may display that same name on the front end of your site, so check your theme settings in the Customizer to see if you can have the name set, but hidden on the front end.
I hope that clarifies things!

Thanks! I fixed the “From” issue above.
I still am having trouble with the subscriber address: (email visible only to moderators and staff). Here is the message it gives when she tries to confirm subscription:

You’re getting that error because you’re trying to access the subscription management for the other email while still logged into your own WordPress.com account. You’re seeing the subscription management for your own account – note your Gmail address appearing in that message.
Log out of WordPress.com completely, or open the subscription link in an incognito browser window, and you should be able to confirm the subscription.
