Subscribing to Blog

  Ok so I am fairly new to blogging and I have viewers that are wanting to subscribe to my blog. I’m not sure what that does for them…do they get updates/e-mails when I add/change things (bc that is the service they are wanting). What exactly does subscribing get them? I currently have a subscribe (RSS widget) on my sidebar but clicking it doesn’t do anything but refresh the page (am I doing something wrong or is that what it does?).

  Please give as much info on how I can get my viewers updates.

  you need to go to your side wiget and go to the rss feed click on the white and blue icon.
  Instead of just putting http://sjanephotography.wordpress.com you’ll have to add /feed/ to it so it will look like this sjanephotography.wordpress.com/feed/ remember to add the http:// I hope this helps you out :)

  that is exactly what i have http://sjanephotography.wordpress.com/feed/ and it still just refreshes the page

  I just check out your site it’s working fine when I click the rss feed icon. It takes me to your feed I had the same theme awhile back and i didn’t like it. For the fact that most people will click the word subscribe instead of clicking the icon. If you really like the theme then I would put A text widget above the rss feed letting people know to click the icon instead of the word subscribe.
