Hi there, we can’t afford to pay for a business site straight up just now but we want to upgrade to that package – is there anyway to pay monthly? We really want to add some plugins.

Hi there,
If you can’t afford the payment for the Business Plan, the other option is to set up a self-hosted site instead. There are hosting plans with providers like Pressable or Bluehost that allow you to pay monthly. Pressable does include support and backups on their cheapest plan, though they might have limitations on bandwidth and storage that we don’t have on WordPress.com.

Other hosting providers might also not include the security, backup and support features that we offer in the Business Plan, but there are millions of self-hosted WordPress websites out there at hundreds of hosting providers, so it’s definitely an option.
