  Hi, we have lost the person who paid for the annual WP subscription which ran out in April. How can I take over the account and subscription please?

  Can you please confirm the site you need help with is stmargaretsburytennis.co.uk?

  The domain mapping upgrade for that domain is still active, and was renewed by the account that owns it in March. That said, if you need to take over that account, the only way to do so is if you are able to provide proof of ownership via our account recovery process:

  Or if by “lost” you mean that account’s owner is deceased, please follow this process instead:

  Thanks for the info.

  I would like to keep the domain name (www.stmargaretsburytennis.co.uk) but point it to a new website (and close the current one down)

  How can i do that please?

  Do you mean a new WordPress.com website, or a website hosted entirely somewhere else?

  If a new WordPress.com site, please let me know the free address of the site, and I can help you move the mapping over to that site. If the site belongs to a different account (the stmargaretsburytennis account only owns this one site), please also confirm the username of the account owning the new site.

  If a website hosted somewhere else, you will need to log in at your domain provider, http://www.freeparking.co.uk, to change the domain’s name servers and point them to your new hosting provider. Then you can just cancel the mapping upgrade that is connecting the domain to your WordPress.com site from the Purchases page.
