  In August of this year I paid for a years subscription to WordPress, but the only record I can find of this is my bank statement, my account doesn’t show this at all, does anyone know what is going on?

  The WordPress.com user account that you are posting from does not have any upgrades associated with it. Could you have a second WordPress user account or site?
