    Godaddy has my new website but neglected to tell me that they do not have a subscription service. I have 3 products. 1. I need a button for downloading my PDF book, renewing every month. 2. I need a button that takes the client to the saved video cast so they see our content when they have paid the subscription fee. 3. I need a button that combines 1 and 2 as a package price with our live videocast once a week.

    Hi there,

    Godaddy has my new website but neglected to tell me that they do not have a subscription service.

    To clarify, you wish to switch away from GoDaddy’s site editor tool and switch to a WordPress-powered site instead? Ihave 3 products.

    1. I need a button for downloading my PDF book, renewing every month.
    2. I need a button that takes the client to the saved video cast so they see our content when they have paid the subscription fee.
    3. I need a button that combines 1 and 2 as a package price with our live videocast once a week.

    That kind of functionality is not built in to WordPress.com but can be added with our Business Plan, which will allow you to upload any plugin or theme “designed for WordPress.” You can think of plugin as being similar to apps you add to your phone, they give it functionality that it does not have out-of-the-box.

    To add eCommerce functionality, after you upgrade you can install the WooCommerce plugin, in addition to the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. This will add subscription functionality to WooCommerce and allow you to check all 3 requirements off of your list.

    Please also note that if you choose the yearly (not monthly) plan option it will include a free domain transfer as well as a free year of registration (after the transfer is complete) for added savings. Additionally the yearly plan includes 24/7 live chat access, which is a great help when you have questions about your WordPress site.
