Subscription based programs

    Hi, I’m working on a subscription based program and I’m wondering if WordPress has anything that could support that? I’m having a difficult time finding what I need.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey,

    You can create this by using visibility options. When you write a post you can see option on the top right corner Visibility with a eye image. Click on Visibility. Then check the box “password protected”.

    Now when a visitor try to view the post they need to enter the password. You can ask them to subscribe your website to see the articles!

    When they subscribe by email, you can send them the password through email.

    Otherwise you need to upgrade your website and add a sign up form to sign up and read.

    While the rest of @dashindudu’s answer is spot on, I’m afraid this bit is inaccurate.

    There is no option on WordPress.com to hide your content behind a paywall, so the only way to do this is to manually password protect each post and supplying the password to your subscribers.

    For a true subscription based site you’ll need to set up a self-hosted WordPress.org site instead. You can find more information on that here:

    @kokkieh, Hey I have seen someones post in this forum he told about his users! That is why I thought there is a sign up options in upgraded version. Thanks for noticing it. It helps me also. :)
