subscription box

hello,
is it possible to have a subscription box, so visitors of the website can subscribe in order to be included in newletters, etc?
thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/more-traffic-for-your-blog-with-the-follow-button/Find Friends Who Use WordPress > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/find-friends/
You can customize the contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
See also Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
Note: As a spammer prevention you are limited to sending out 10 invitations at one point in time. Wait then send out 10 more. -

The email subscription Timethief first mentions notify subscribers of your new posts. To do a newsletter, you would probably want to sign up at one of the sites that specialize in that. The code they give to put into your site probably won’t work here at WordPress.com, but you can link a signup page at the newsletter hosting company.

Hello.
Is it possible to obtain a subscribe link for my blog which I can use in my mailchimp newsletters? Ie a link that I can use on any number of mailouts which concern my blog vs a “follow” link on the blog itself?
Thank you.

Is this what you are looking for? http://genobz.wordpress.com/2011/06/18/direct-link-to-subscribe-to-a-blog/
-
Thanks but the link I created (http://elanacastle.wordpress.com/#blog_subscription-12) only takes me to my homepage not a subscribe button.
Am I missing something?

I found out the way to have a ”subscribe to our newsletter” link.
Is there a way to have it permanently in a specific point, regardless of the page i am in? for instance above or below the titles line (home, about, artists, news etc) or do ii have to paste it in each page?
-
You could do it if you had CSS editing skills and the Custom Design upgrade.
[Update from staff: just to clarify, you cannot add links with CSS, only plain text. You can sometimes move other elements you create elsewhere (like widgets) and rearrange where they appear using CSS though.]
-
so, if I don’t have those skills does that mean I can’t direct someone to subscribe via a link?
-
You can use the Subscribe widget to let people sign up for email subscriptions of your blog posts. For anything else, you’ll want to use either the Contact Form or a link to your direct email or a link to an external page like Mailchimp or whatever. There is no way to “have it permanently in a specific spot” unless you have the custom design upgrade UNLESS you put it in a text widget which is displayed on all pages an dposts.
-
Now I’m confused.
I’d like to create a link that I can embed into some text ie “SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG” so when people click on it they get directed to a page where they can enter their email address to subscribe.
Is this possible?
-
-
Yes, to get the blog posts by email.
I am creating a mailchimp campaign about my blog and I want to have text on the top saying “SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG”
How do I create a link that takes people to a direct subscribe box so they can sign up to my blog?
Thanks -
I have upgraded to css, so how can I have a permanent susbcribe box?
ps. elanacastle, i think it will be better if you opened a new post for your request, because i think this has become quite heavy. I read replies and I do not know to whom questions are referring

As I said above this is not a CSS editing issue. CSS cannot be used to embed codes for email marketing campaigns. The only possibility you have of posting it is if the email campaign service provides a plain HTML link and I don’t know of any that do.

Get a refund. WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard
http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/#refundsNote: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
