Subscription emails no longer working?

My email subscribers (from the widget) are reporting they aren’t getting their emails anymore. I tried signing up a new one and it failed too. This is the widget with the text “Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.”

Hi there,
You currently have subscription emails blocked on your account. This means you won’t receive any email notifications about blogs you are subscribed to. To change this, you can go to your Subscriptions Delivery settings here:

Make sure that the box is unchecked next to “Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com.” That should resolve the issue for you.
If you’d like, you can also give me the usernames or email addresses of some of your email subscribers and I can check to see what’s happening on their end. Please let me know if you have any questions about this!

Don’t worry — email addresses are redacted in the forums for your privacy, but staff can still see them.
I checked the address you gave me, and that email address is not subscribed to your blog. It’s possible that this person entered his email address to subscribe to your blog but never confirmed the subscription.
When someone subscribes to your blog via email, they receive a confirmation email to complete the subscription. They will need to click the link in that email to start receiving email notifications about your posts.

hmm… comicsfondle.com? He’s been subscribed for years, but it was through the widget, not through the regular WordPress subscription.

I took a look at comicsfondle.com, and that blog is linked to your user account. Unblocking subscription emails in your account should do the trick there. :)
