subscription errors

    It has come to my attention that subscribers are not being notified (emailed) when I publish new posts. I have also discovered that new subscriptions are not working either. In other words, when one subscribes to my blog, they never receive an activation email. I have tried this myself.

    All of this used to work, so it appears there is some sort of new issue happening.

    Please provide a couple of email addresses of those reporting this here. The software will redact them i.e. it will hide them so only Staff can see them.

    Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help.     I was recently testing with an alternate email of my own:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    so let’s start with that one.

    Hello David.

    I was able to subscribe to your blog, and I did receive the email notification. When I looked up the email address you provided, I found that on the subscription management page for that address –

    Status

    You had the following option selected:

    “Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com” – that would explain why you weren’t getting emails to that address.

    I didn’t see anything else of note in the settings. Do you have another address we can look at?
