Subscription form/email subscriber form malfunctioning

    I shared my blog with a few friends who subscribed and got email confirmations for their subscription but the same does not reflect in my follower’s list. Most of them do not have WordPress accounts, so I check the ‘Email followers’ list but their email IDs do not get registered there. I have to ask them to repeat the process 2-3 times before their email IDs get registered in my list. Why is this happening?

    Hi there,

    Can you tell us the email addresses of the people who you think should be subscribed, but that aren’t receiving the emails? Type each email address on its own line, and it will be hidden from view so only staff can see it.

    Keep in mind that an email subscriber will only appear in your list and start receiving emails after they’ve confirmed their subscription. They do that by clicking a link in a confirmation email we send them when they first subscribe.

    Hi,
    The following email IDs were not updated on my site as followers:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    These are a few email IDs among others. These people confirmed their subscription but their email IDs were still not updated as followers on my blog site. Those who tried to subscribe but were unable to, also mentioned not being able to post comments on my blog posts.
    Please look into this and provide a resolution as I’m losing potential subscribers.

    The first is showing as a confirmed subscription as of 48 hours or so ago. The second has not confirmed their subscription and the third has not subscribed under that address at all.
