Subscription function for portfolio project posts?

    Hi everyone. I’ve created a personal blog to host all my photography. I’m using the Orvis theme which is a portfolio based theme. All my pictures I add are added as projects instead of normal posts. I currently have the MailChimp subscription email plugin added, but that alerts people when I create a new post, not when I create a new project. Is there a way to alert my subscribers when I add a new project? Here’s the site: mikesnaps.wordpress.com
