Subscription Not Activating

I want to say comments are instant rather than weekly and just the posts come in a digest format. Can you temporarily disable comment notifications so we can troubleshoot the other issues? Then you can turn them back on if you’d like.

Ok. I will do that now-I hope. One more thing, if I uncheck comments. Having troubles disabling. What are the steps to disable?

I think I disabled comments. If I uncheck comments but the brower notification is enabled will the comments stop? Because they haven’t when it is enabled. Do you know?

@daisymae2017 you won’t stop getting browser notifications for replies to your own comments or your own posts. You wouldn’t get notification of every single new comment on the blog, which is what you’re getting now.
We’re just having you temporarily disable the emails. You would do that by switching the toggle on that same page we mentioned earlier. Let me know if you’re able to do that. You’d need to leave them off long enough for troubleshoot. As it stands, all of the comment emails fill up what I can see of your logs, so I can’t look at the post emails to help there. Thanks for understanding.

Not getting posts. Browser notifications have been disabled. Comments are unchecked but still getting comments. Why? How do I stop comments from coming?

Where do excerpts about the post show up at? I wrote a post and it’s semi-long so I wrote a short excerpt of what the story was about but would a widget better and if so how do you write a widget?

No need to disable browser notifications. But please do go to https://wordpress.com/following/edit and click on the last site. Disable email notifications so we can troubleshoot the posts. Thanks!

– Browser notifications do not need to be turned off since they aren’t related
– Only “emails for new comments” needs to be turned off
– Email for new posts needs to be turned on and configured as you like so we can troubleshoot that.

Thanks @daisymae2017, I see daily posts enabled for your site and weekly for the rest. Now we just need to wait for the posts to come through. Can you check in again with me in a week and let me know how it went?

I will check in with you in a week. Now about comments for the other sites, can I get them to come weekly too? If so, How can that be done? Have you figured out why my theme is not showing completely? Theme Name: Bouquet. Just checked and the theme isn’t showing completely. Why?

@daisymae2017 I don’t think we have any comment digests, but I’ll put in a request for that.

Re: your theme, it’s showing completely for me. If you’re having trouble, would you mind creating a new thread (so it’s not off topic on this one) and include a link to a screenshot? Then tag it with modlook & we’ll follow up.
Oh, and if it’s just that you don’t have a sidebar, try heading to My Site > Customize > Widgets > Side Bar and adding a few widgets there.
