Subscription not working

Hello,
I received an email from someone who is having trouble subscribing to my blog. She has tried multiple times and hasn’t received a confirmation/activation link via email. She tried using the appropriate support link but got this message in return: ‘We were unable to fetch your activation record. Are you sure you specified the email address you signed up with?’
What can I do to help her subscribe?

Hi,
You might ask her if she is using the correct email address to fetch the record. If she is using the correct email address, ask her to check her SPAM or tab folders. Sometimes activation emails get shifted there.

She said that she’s sure she’s using the correct email address and that she’s checked her other folders. Any other advice?

If there’s a staff member who sees this, could you help me manually activate it for her? I have her email address.

Hi Jessica,
Can you please give me the email addresses of the people who are having trouble with this? You can put those emails in your reply here and they will be hidden from everyone except WordPress.com staff. That way I can check those email addresses in our system to see what’s going on.

I have the same problem! My sister has tried several times to become a follower of my blog. She gets no reaction and I get no notification. I have carefully looked through all the settings and cannot find that I have done anything to block anyone. So of course I do not know how many other people might have tried to follow me without being able to. (My sister´s e-mail address is: (email visible only to moderators and staff).)
Please help! (Without revealing our e-mail addresses of course.)

Please let me know if those emails did not post correctly. I’m assuming the (email redacted) is what you meant by saying that only WordPress staff would be able to see them.

That worked perfectly, thanks! For both of those email addresses, they blocked emails from WordPress.com — they’ll need to unblock emails from WordPress.com in order to subscribe to your blog. (As it stands now, they won’t receive any subscription-related emails.)
For the first (yahoo.com) email address you mentioned, that person doesn’t have a WordPress.com account. In that case, they can go to this page to unblock emails from WordPress.com:
Under “Manage Your Subscriptions” they can enter their email address to get to their subscription settings. To unblock emails from WordPress.com, they can head to this page:
For the second email address, that person does have a WordPress.com account. In that case, they can log in to WordPress.com and head to the notifications settings page to unblock emails from WordPress.com.
Once that’s done, the subscription process will work. If either of them run into trouble along the way, they’re welcome to email us at help@wordpress.com and we can sort that out directly with them. :) Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
