subscription plug-in questions

  Hi and thanks for your great plug-in!

  I have a few questions about the subscription plug-in. I’ve noticed that the subscribers receive the WHOLE article in their inbox

  a) does this count as a click/view when the subscriber opens the message from his inbox?
  b) can I alter the notification mail and have only the title/photo/summary in it, in order to tempt the subscriber to click the article and read it from my website?

  Hi there,

  I’m glad to hear you like the latest version of Jetpack!

  To answer your questions:

  – Reading your post in an email client won’t register as a hit or view for stats purposes.
  – You can display a summary of your posts in your emails by selecting “Summary” under the “For each article in a feed” option at Settings -> Reading.

  the option you mention is already “summary” but the whole article is posted in the notification email
