Subscription that implements a process for a particular member

    Hello,

    My website is a blog based website designed by WordPress. I need a plugin that will allow my visitors to elect to purchase a subscription. While this may sound simple, I have tried multiple subscription plugins by many different organizations (Yith, etc.) and while they work to a degree I believe that once I activate the subscription on a product by checking the new subscription box, I will then need to manually provide some sort of subscription. For instance, mailing them magazines.

    What I need specifically is for my visitors to choose between a Basic (free) membership or an Elite (Paid monthly) subscription for access to certain blog articles. Currently, my theme allows for me to block individual articles and provide a password to them, however, I do not think that will be the ideal way to manage the subscription once I get it figured out.

    MOst Woocommerce plugins attache to woocommerce Products, which I could use as a workaround (I believe) by simply making a product as a subscription and making another product as free membership. However, this is where I begin to have a problem.

    I need a plugin that can allow for a subscription but that subscription gains access to specific articles or even a specific page (if I have to I will publish paid for subscriptions on a specific page by linking an element on that page to a specific category).

    Is there something by Woocommerce or another product that you can recommend that will allow this to function for me? Not just the subscription part but specifically what when they subscribe it provides the user with a membership that has special access to a certain page, category, or individual articles?

    This forum is for supporting free sites hosted on WordPress.com. Your site at http://www.betterbusinesssource.com/ is using the open source WordPress software, which is something completely different.

    For advice on specific plugins to use the self-hosted forums are a better place to ask, as the users in those forums will have experience with different plugins. You can also try searching the WordPress.org plugin directory at https://wordpress.org/plugins/

    That said, what you’re describing requires a membership plugin, rather than a subscription plugin. The WooCommerce Memberships plugin will give you the access control you want. WooCommerce memberships can be used to restrict access to content as well as to products, so you don’t need to publish your content as products with this plugin.

    And it is designed to be combined with the Subscriptions plugin should you want membership payments to be recurring.
