Subscription to Email (for my readers) option – to my blog on wordpress

  Hello there;
  may anyone please elaborate on how can i add a widget/the option for my readers to subscribe to my blog via their emails?
  It seems impossible to add any widget from the left dashboard under ‘widgets’ like most tutorials advise… Thank you.
