Subscriptions

  So I just tested my “Email subscription” button on my blog. I entered in a secondary email address to subscribe to my own blog to see what would happen. I haven’t yet been notified that I got a subscription. Are we notified when someone signs up to subscribe to our blog? Or are the identities of our subscribers kept confidential or something?

  No, the blog owner is not notified, but under blog stats, in the lower left of the main stats page, you can see two links under “email subscriptions. If you click on those links, you can see who has subscribed, either to the blog, or to comments.
