Subscriptions and shortcodes
-
Hi,
I’m using the new subscription feature in JetPack.
But it seems that the shortcodes from my WordPress.org plugins does not execute, but are just shown in the e-mail.
Is there a workaround to this problem?

Shortcodes can’t be rendered in emails, because most email clients won’t be able to read/display reach media. Instead we’re aiming to display hints in the email about the media included in the post to entice user to visit the post and see the media.
We’re working on it, and hopefully you’ll see improvements in the near future.

In this case …this is a custom plugin shortcode on a WordPress.org installation. The shortcode would just output ordinary HTML, but the shortcode is just e-mailed to the recipients without any parsing.
In this case the e-mail contains: [amx_event_list event_ids=”963″ ignore_city=”0″][/amx_event_list]
And that would, in a post, be replaced with some HTML.
It seems the JetPack plugin sends the actual content of the post without parsing shortcodes.
It makes it pretty useless on WordPress.org installations, as is.
Is there a chance there will be a shortcode-solution on the WordPress.org installation of JetPack?
