Subscriptions for post updates (not just new posts)

  I maintain a blog for our bicycle group and would like to use a “sticky” post to announce upcoming rides. Our site uses the “Follow Blog” widget for our members to subscribe and receive email notifications about new posts.

  However, my understanding is that the subscribers will receive an email notification about new posts, but not updates to those posts.

  When I need to update the sticky post with new details about the ride (e.g. start time or place), how can our subscribers receive those details if they’re not in a new post?
