Subscriptions not appearing?

  I’ve perused the forums and can’t find an answer, so I’m hoping someone can help: I routinely receive about 2-4 “new subscription” notices per day indicating “someone has subscribed to your blog” or “xxx has subscribed to your blog,” but typically only 1 of those actually shows up as a new subscription. I realize it only counts “Active subscriptions,” meaning they’ve confirmed…but I know when I subscribe for a blog on WordPress, there is no “confirmation” email that is sent to me … it becomes active immediately.

  Can someone explain this disparity?

  Are you referring to a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.COM or not? Please post the URL for the blog in question starting with http:// so we can look into this for you.

  Yip, it’s my blog, which is a free WordPress.com blog. You can find it here: http://mikaleebyerman.wordpress.com.

  I routinely get emails confirming a new subscriber, but these subscribers don’t ever appear in my “subscriptions” list.
