Subscriptions not playing fair

  My blog is locked to the public, but I have added certain users to view it. They can view it, but they can not subscribe to it. Why can they not subscribe? When they try, they receive the following error “Blog not added: pchweb.wordpress.com is visible only to chosen users.”

  I think you’re talking about viewing the blog in a RSS feed reader.

  The feed reader has no way to authenticate itself to wp.com. So how is wp.com supposed to know that the person viewing the feed has permission to see it.

  Private blogs do not have feeds.
