Subscriptions not working
-
Okay, so I added the subscriptions widget and all, but it’s not working. It says “type in your email address” and then won’t let you! Why is this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
We can’t possibly help without a link to your blog, starting with http. Also: what widget are you talking about? There is none called “Subscriptions”.
-
Aw, yes. I meen the feedburner copied into a text widget. Sorry. My blog is http://madeleinerex.com

There’s a problem with the code you pasted in there. All we can do here is link to the place at Feedburner where you enter your email; we can’t host fill-in forms here. Be sure you’re copying the HTML-only version of the code, specifically for WordPress.com blogs.

You want to use the code that is in the box below “Preview Subscription Link… ” which is down further on the page. The javascript in the top box will not work here.
-
Excuse me, that code in the top box is a form, but it isn’t allowed here for the same security reasons.

Sorry for double-posting, but may I ask one last (for today, anyway) question? What does it mean in your Referrers section if it says WordPress Dashboard?
-
Normally, we’d ask that you start a new thread for a totally different issue, but I’ll answer this.
It means that someone clicked on the link to your blog from the very bottom of their Dashboard page, where it lists the most recently updated WP blogs. It’s nice: when you update your blog, it shows up there for a moment, no matter how obscure it is, and if the title is interesting, people will click on it.

Oh, yea! That’s helpful. I’m going to check next time. Thanks, raincoaster, and I’ll keep that forum rule in mind.
