Suburbia CSS to change Grey Placeholders to Clear

  In an earlier post, the CSS code was provided to solve this issue: In the front page of the Suburbia theme, there is an image place-holder at the top, followed by the title (linking to the full post) of the post and then text.
  I want my blog to be text only so I was wondering whether it is possible to use CSS to modify the theme so that only the title and the text shows This blocks everything. When an image is attached to a post, I’d like it to show. If there’s not, I’d like no boxes.
