Suburbia theme suddenly reduced number of columns, why?
-
I’ve been using a customized Suburbia theme for about half a year. On the home page, there have always been 4 columns on the top row (to the right of the menu) and 5 columns in each row underneath, just like I wanted. All of a sudden today there’s only 3 columns on the top row and 4 in the rest: on the far left is a gaping white unbroken space; the posts have been bumped down to another row as a result. I tried various ways to fix it (redoing widgets, changing font sizes, etc.) but nothing works. I know nothing about CSS so it couldn’t have happened there. Also, when I compare the way my home page looks to the ones for other Suburbia users, theirs seem to fill up the whole page right to left: mine looks squished in the middle, with lots of empty background on either side. I wonder if this is related to why one column has disappeared in each row. Since I can’t find anything in the forums or support to answer this question, can you help? My blog is http://www.translationcraft.wordpress.com — Thanks so much!

I see 4 posts on the top row and 5 posts on rows beneath it. Try clearing your browser cache please http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

Thanks for the suggestion, but it still didn’t work. I also rebooted my computer– however, my screen is still showing the strange alignment. I’m glad to hear others see my webpage properly aligned, but I wonder how I can access the same view.
I remember that it started after I tried viewing my blog through new themes–which also didn’t work right. I reverted to the Suburbia theme, and the result was the misaligned columns. Would that have anything to do with it?
