(Sudden) Blog font change while editing/creating new posts?

This morning while editing the post, everything looks small. I loved how it was big and nice (the way it is on the website when published) and worry if published posts will also look weird? (i.e. in small font size the way it looks for me while editing). I didn’t change anything and last night it was all good and dandy – what changed? how to go back to my original view while creating or editing the blog post?

I checked by creating a Test blog post. The published font looks OK although the text is tiny in the editor. As WordPress suggested, changing fonts via block editor while editing the post changed the font in the actual published post; so, I don’t want to do that. Help please! I don’t like tiny font while I am writing. :(

Also, if it helps with diagnosis, when I open a post to edit, it opens in the normal font size for a split second and then goes to the smaller size. It never did that before. It’s annoying why it suddenly changed the editor font size on me.

@veespages thanks for confirming. It is so annoying, isn’t it? and I wasnt sure if it’s me or something in the editor itself. I tried all basics things (like clearing cache, diff browser, incognito mode etc) nothing fixes this. Hope WordPress gets the fix out soon.

@mandarpathak Left my blog for a while cause the small font was truly pissing me off and making my head ache. Now I went back and it’s still not working. What is up WordPress!

It seems that a lot of people are experiencing a common issue. Perhaps WordPress should address and resolve this problem.

I am also experiencing this. In addition, the small font is not the standard font that I always use. Nothing has changed on my end. Very frustrating that something, behind the scenes, would change and affect my simple blog and website. (As a bonus, when creating a new blog post, the “Add Title” space is missing, so I can’t identify the blog post with a title. Argh.)

I should also note that when I try to edit an existing page on my website, the same thing happens: The font that the page was in suddenly changes to a smaller, incorrect font.

We have received reports from multiple users experiencing the same issue, and our developers are investigating this issue. I ended up changing themes (from Winkel to Libretto). That fixed one of my problems. But I see that the new theme still shows a different font when editing a page. (It looks normal when published.) I guess I can live with that, but it’s still rather dumb that it happens…
