Sudden dramatic loss of blog followers

Me too. My 126 wordpress followers are no longer being included in my count yet they are all still there when I look at my stats. My overall count dropped from 312 to 187 : (

Almost the same happened to me today. I have lost all of my email followers–only my wordpress followers are showing up. Please HELP!!!

My friend Malate, I tried your advice: “Try to publish a new post and everything will be REFRESHED. See if it all comes back”
and nothing came back.

Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser, with javascript and 3rd party cookies enabled. Try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies, and closing your browser entirely. Then open and log back in.

Personally, I would be beyond thrilled if WordPress.com divested itself (and our stats) of the spam gravatar accounts and sites that have been suspended for ToS violations! That would hopefully leave us with “real” followers.

mine are also back, without doing anything. To anyone who still has the same problem: I believe that it will be fixed If you wait for a few hours.

Similar problem here, but not the same.

My non-WordPress followers are being counted, but my WordPress followers are not. I have over 100 WP followers, and over 50 followers via email, and they still show in my-stats/?blog_subscribers, but the total on the Stats page (and the widget on the actual blog) only show the facebook ones.

This just happened about 15 minutes ago. I’m hoping it would go back to normal in a bit, but since this thread is going on, I thought I’d report it too.

Hello! I’ve lost all my wp followers and only the email followers remain. The wp followers do not show on my stat anymore either. Plz help! I had 103 followers and now i’m left with 11.
