Sudden huge upsurge in views

  Suddenly my views have sky-rocketed the last few hours (around 2501 for the last 5 hours). The most I had before that was 200-ish. I don’t know if this sudden upsurge is an attack or genuine views.

  Is there anything that I can do to check?

  Just a bit worried.

  Hi there,

  Judging by the views per visitor (598), I’m thinking these probably were not genuine readers. This was likely the result of a scrip that hit your blog and refreshed the page several times over. We try to prevent this from happening as much as possible. However, occasionally, they sneak through.

  The good news is that your stats have returned back to normal, and it doesn’t appear as though you were hacked. This looks like it was a fluke. Please let me know if it happens again!
